Developing Your Moral Intelligence

By Kip Flock, LCSW

Best-selling author John Bradshaw has teamed with expert international life coach, and master clinical therapist, Kip Flock to bring you Developing Your Moral Intelligence, a much-needed workshop based on his new book, Reclaiming Virtue.

Together, they will help you develop the moral intelligence to do the right thing at the right time for the right reason! You will learn a step-by-step method that help you contain your feelings and use their innate power to make sound and temperate decisions, to self nurture and self motivate. Neuroscientists Antonio DeMasio, Joseph ReDoux, and Allan Schore have conclusively proven that you cannot even make a choice without your feelings. In this workshop, you will learn how to become emotionally intelligent, which is the foundation of moral intelligence. Addicts make terrible choices (abandoning themselves and others) because their feelings are bound in shame. Because they are bound in shame, addicts are numbed out and limited in their ability to make good choices.

In this workshop, John and Kip will help you break free from your, “shame bound feelings,” and use the wisdom of your unconfined feelings to make good choices. You will also learn the latest technique for using your willpower as a physical psychic force to change the “brain lock” of the addicted brain.

Intensive Food Addiction Workshop

By Phil Werdell, MA

This three-day workshop will help you work on deep emotional and spiritual blocks that prevent you from becoming food abstinent or maintaining long-term abstinence and recovery. If you have trouble identifying feelings, dealing with anger, fear, or grief, or surrendering to powerlessness over food, this workshop will give you practical skills that will support abstinence. The workshop focuses on how to deal with chronic food slips and relapse. When a food addict has a food slip, a lapse or a major relapse, there is almost always a physical, emotional, and/or spiritual reason. You don’t have to let the food addiction voice continue to make decisions in your life. If you have felt driven by the voice of addition, this workshop will give you the skills to notice and become aware of how this disease has hijacked your mind. Join Phil in a safe, nurturing small group format to learn how to do a food slip inventory and written incidents of powerlessness to remove stumbling blocks that prevent deep emotional and spiritual recovery.
